National Academies Press
As an arm of the National Academy of Sciences, the NAP publishes ebooks in science, medicine, social science, and engineering. Over 4,000 titles can be downloaded for free by chapter or the entire book.
National Agricultural Statistics Service
Offers reports on virtually every aspect of U.S. agriculture, i.e. production and supply of food and fiber, farm labor and wages, prices paid and received by farmers, chemical use, and changes in the demographics of U.S. producers.
National Archives Online
Offers countless primary sources, historical documents and images online. Search the catalog and select "view online holdings" for digitized items on your topic. Or browse the online exhibits (i.e. Civil War, Eyewitness Accounts), 100 Milestone Documents, or the Digital Vaults (1,200 "treasured" documents, photos and film clips).
National Bureau of Economic Research
A database of working papers from the nonprofit, NBER, in four primary areas: statistical measurements, quantitative models of economic behavior, effects of public policies on the economy, and potential effects of alternative policies.
National Center for Education Statistics
Reports on children's early care and school experiences, the state of U.S. public and private education, and higher education. Includes information about student academic achievement, as well as adult literacy levels.
National Climatic Data Center
The world's largest climate data archive providing climatological services and data to users worldwide. Records range from paleoclimatic data to centuries-old journals to data less than an hour old.
National Criminal Justice Reference Service

Newspaper Source Plus (Ebsco) 
includes more than 860 full-text newspapers, providing more than 35 million full-text articles. In addition, the database features more than 857,000 television and radio news transcripts.
Nexis Uni™
Full text coverage of more than 350 newspapers from the U.S. and around the world. Broadcast transcripts from the major television and radio networks as well as political transcripts covering Congressional committee hearings, press briefings from the State, Justice, and Defense departments, and presidential news conferences. Access primary source material such as case law, statutes and regulations or dive into secondary source materials such as legal news or law reviews for background or analysis of a legal topic is also included.
