The best way to connect students with library articles is by providing them with a URL to the item. Articles should not be posted directly to Blackboard without written permission from the publisher. In most cases, you do not automatically have permission to diseminate electronic copies of articles. When linking to an article, you must have the proper URL. The URL must contain the Library's proxy information in order to work from off-campus. This URL is usually called the Permanent URL, Permalink, or Stable URL. Use the directions on this page to find the correct URL in various databases. Examples of what the beginning of the URL looks like: http://0-go.galegroup.com.oak.indwes.edu... http://80-search.ebscohost.com.oak.indwes.edu... http://0-www.jstor.org.oak.indwes.edu... http://0-sjp.sagepub.com.oak.indwes.edu...
